MWH Constructors Promotes Five Employees to Vice President

Broomfield, Colo., April 12, 2010 – MWH, the global wet infrastructure sector leader and provider of environmental engineering, construction and strategic consulting services, announced today that five MWH Constructors employees have been elected to the position of vice president.

“We’re pleased to recognize the outstanding leadership and value that each of our newly promoted vice presidents bring to the MWH Constructors team,” said Joseph D. Adams, president of MWH Constructors. “Our goal is to deliver quality construction and efficient processes to our clients and we’re able to do this by hiring and retaining the industry’s best talent." 

The five employees elected to the vice president position at the March 2010 MWH Constructors Board of Directors meeting are:

James W. Bowley, vice president, environmental and industrial construction – Bowley has more than 37 years experience working with environmental and industrial construction. Since joining MWH Constructors more than three years ago, he has successfully strengthened the firm’s industrial construction and remediation presence in the western states and has helped grow the industrial business nationally. Bowley graduated with a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Grove City College in Pennsylvania.
 
Darwin L. Cooprider, vice president, director of federal and industrial operations – Cooprider has over 22 years experience in the construction industry managing large vertical construction projects nationally. Cooprider joined MWH Constructors’ federal and industrial construction group in April 2009 and is responsible for the firm’s work with federal and industrial clients throughout the U.S. and the Pacific region. He holds a BS in Construction Management from Purdue University.

John R. Jennings, PE, vice president, director of operations, western region –Jennings has 20 years experience in the management of civil infrastructure projects, supervising large-scale new construction and plant upgrade projects using design-bid-build, design-build and construction management-at-risk delivery methods. Jennings holds a professional engineering license in Colorado and California and holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona in California.

Diane M. Jones, vice president, director of marketing – Jones has more than 25 years experience in marketing, project management, corporate communications, business development, branding, strategic planning and non-profit management. Since joining MWH in 2002, she has led and managed teams in winning large municipal, federal and industrial engineering services, design-build and construction management-at-risk contracts. Jones graduated summa cum laude from the University of Denver with a BA in Communications.

Wilhelm (Willy) R. Nowotny, vice president, director of operations, eastern region – Nowotny joined MWH Constructors in September 2009 and has more than 25 years of project management and wet infrastructure experience. Nowotny holds an MA in Public Administration from George Washington University and a BA in Economics and Finance from Texas A&M.

MWH Constructors is the construction arm of MWH and has received numerous awards for project excellence and recognition as one of the nation’s safest contractors. At the 2010 Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) national convention, MWH Constructors accepted awards for 1st place in the Construction Excellence in Safety Award competition and Special Recognition in the Marvin M.
