As Chairman of MWH, Mr. Smith supervises key global client relationships and directs specific company growth initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions. A 31-year veteran of the firm, he has held numerous senior executive positions at MWH, and will continue to lead the implementation of the company’s growth strategy.
Previously, Mr. Smith has been President of MWH Americas, Chief Operating Officer of U.S. Municipal Operations, Chief Marketing Officer of Municipal Services and a Program Manager of our U.K. Northwest Water AMP3 program. In recent years he has served as Chief of Strategy Implementation.
Don holds a Master and Bachelor of Science from the California Institute of Technology. He also holds professional engineering registration along with having attended the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program. Don has been a member of the MWH Global, Inc. Board of Directors for eight consecutive years. |

Alan Krause

Mr. Krause is responsible for directing the company’s worldwide operations from MWH’s headquarters near Denver, Colorado. In addition to President/COO, he is a member of the MWH Global, Inc., MWH Americas and MWH International Board of Directors, and maintains senior-level relationships with MWH clients.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Krause served for six years as President of MWH Natural Resources, Industry & Infrastructure (NRII) Services. This operation includes the global energy, mining, hydropower, dams, industrial, transportation and infrastructure business units. Specific geographies where NRII services are provided include the Asia-Pacific region, Central and South America and the United States.
Previously, Mr. Krause served as the Chief Operating Officer for the Global Energy and Natural Resources Division, Chief Operating Officer for Global Energy and Industry Division, Manager of the Latin America and Middle East Divisions and Manager of the Mining Division for MWH.
Mr. Krause has nearly 30 years of industry experience and holds a Master of Science in Geological Engineering from the University of Nevada Mackay School of Mines, and attended the Owner/President Management Program at Harvard Business School. |

Joe Adams provides leadership to MWH Constructors (MWHC), the global design-build
and general construction arm of the company. Celebrating 12 years of successful
business, MWHC performs all of the company’s "at-risk" construction
and design-build projects. With global annual revenues in excess of $200M,
MWHC is a leader in delivering water and environmental projects in the US,
UK, Caribbean, and throughout continental Europe. Recently, MWHC ranked among
the top 160 US contractors.
Mr. Adams is a civil engineer with more than 24 years of experience serving
industrial clients. Previously, he was the industrial marketing leader for
MWH. In the last few years, Adams has played a key leadership role in many
of the company's most important industrial projects and has managed more than
$100 million of EPC remediation projects. |

In this position, he provides executive-level leadership that draws from his more than 36 years of work as internationally experienced engineer and seasoned engineering/construction manager.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Howard served as Director of MWH’s Global Program Management Services and completed an assignment as the Managing Director of a $4.4 billion water and infrastructure program in the United Kingdom. Mr. Howard was previously the program manager on the design and construction of large, complex environmental remediation and infrastructure projects, including speciality projects such as the clean up of the anthrax pollution event in Washington, D.C., and clean up of low-level nuclear waste for the Department of Energy (DOE) on the Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP). He has developed a reputation as an innovative, responsible, excellence-oriented leader who is adept at building strong, profitable teams and producing quality results under challenging conditions. |
